Iron Hills は Middle-earth のマップ上では最東北の果ての地にあります。
その景色は茶色の地面や山肌がむき出しになった荒涼とした大地であり、いやが上にも最果ての地を意識させます。
また Iron Hills はドワーフの勢力圏と言ってよいのですが、その地の中央辺りには山全体に掘られたような巨大なドワーフ像が聳え立ち地域ににらみを利かせています。
そして旅の終わりには最果ての大伽藍と言っても過言ではないドワーフの Járnfast 要塞が山脈を背に建てられています。
その姿はどこかしら Helm’s Deep を彷彿とさせるものがあります。
今回は荒涼とした地でありながら、複数の見どころのあるエリアと言えるでしょう。

This edition of the Middle Earth 4K journey departs from Erebor and travels to the Iron Hills in Rhovanion.
The Iron Hills lie at the northeastern edge of Middle-earth on the map.
The landscape features barren, brown earth and exposed mountain slopes, evoking a sense of desolation at the very edge of the world.
While the Iron Hills fall within the dwarves’ sphere of influence, the central area boasts a colossal dwarf statue seemingly carved into the entire mountain, keeping a watchful eye over the region.
At the journey’s end stands Járnfast, the dwarves’ fortress that could rightfully be called the grand citadel at the world’s edge, with its silhouette reminiscent of Helm’s Deep.
Despite its desolate nature, this area offers multiple points of interest. Enjoy the Middle Earth 4K journey!
